“The only constant in the universe is the bureaucratic mentality” proclaimed Dr. McCoy in a ‘Star Trek” movie. Imagine, that there’d be some domestic politics in sci-fi dialogue – though not the first. Another film featured the notion that the reason Kirk would best be the candidate to approach his arch-enemies, the Klingons, was parallel to that old Vulcan aphorism: “Only Nixon can go to China”!

Rim-shot, please, maestro.

Now we see the shortest measurable time-span in the political universe of the mainstream media [MSM]: that between Joe the Plumber becoming known to the MSM and when they would investigate his lifestyle, work habits and his tax records. What is the longest measurable time-span in the MSM universe: That between first-note of Obama The One [OTO] having a nasty pastor and when it finally emerged in MSM coverage.

This is what the Clinton-initiated ‘rapid response team’ concept has demonstrated to be its true character. More like a Rabid Response Team – a political RRT, aided and abetted by a media that included CNN, ABC, MSNBC and NBC, among likely others [I can monitor only so much, folks] who quickly sought the ‘context’ of the plumber’s comments, but find nothing odd about the Ayers connection to OTO. “Nightline” added to the first post-debate day’s coverage, with the capper story, that it was merely a ‘technicality’ that Joe was a plumber, and that his name technically wasn’t Joe at all.

His first name is Samuel; only his middle name is Joseph. Technically, according to “Nightline” my sister’s name isn’t Beth, since that’s her middle name, which we’ve called her since her birth almost five decades ago. We must have been technically idiotic, according to CNN, PBS, NBC, MSNBC, ABC, et al.

Quick into the prime-time coverage the evening after the final debate was the Al Smith Dinner speeches, by first McCain and then Obama. On Rachel Maddow’s show, a comic ‘analyst’ gave the trophy to McCain, with Rachel’s smirking assent, save for noting “the sour-note, vicious little jab at our Keith Olbermann” – imagine, Rachel The Ratchet dubbing someone as vicious!

As “Nightline” noted on Joe, “with the spotlight has come some scrutiny” – and quite consistently fitting into the MSM meme on anything conservative. As they doubt instantly that Joe is a real plumber – not licensed as such, so those all-knowing MSM experts on the skilled trades thus dub Joe as unfit for the title – they also fail continually to note that OTO has erroneously dubbed himself a professor of law at Harvard. Yet, OTO has never been more than a mere lecturer – high achievement in any case, but not a full or associate or even assistant ‘professor’ is his entitlement to such an elevated, resume-padding title.

Yet, the MSM is yet to be as scrutinizing of OTO – who aspires to be commander in chief – as they are of Joe’s aspiration to be a plumber in chief. Anything out of proportion here, MSM jihadists? Maddow felt Mac was “unfunny and nasty towards Keith Olbermann” – but cheerfully chirps at every stab at Palin, or Mac, or Bush, or any conservative.

No, we don’t expect fairness from the MSM, or its bitchy cousins in the MSNBC ranks of not-quite-media sideshows of yaparama commentariat. From this continued example, we know that the media are still shamelessly and innocently acting as chauffeurs for OTO’s path to the presidency. As “David Letterman” deconstructed bits of Palin and McCain assertions, the replay of the Smith speech by OTO repeated a bit of dunderheadedness by OTO, regarding the Waldorf-Astoria site of the dinner, chortling, “From the doorstep, you can see all the way to the Russian Tea Room.”

Of course, in his eager beaver bash of Palin’s comment on seeing Russia from her home, he overlooked that the Russian Tea Room has been out of business for almost a decade. Much like Biden’s favorite local eatery also being long defunct. Where’s the RRT on those missing truths?

Won’t see them – the RRT, both its DNC component and its MSM element, is determined to rig the game. Always have – since before FDR, and hyper-accelerated during FDR’s regency, again with glee for JFK, a bit for Carter, accelerated for Clinton. In those ‘dark’ eras between lefty CICs, they turned their lie-hole drilling “Drill, baby, drill” rig against Ike [out of touch, old and dreary], Nixon [nutsy anti-communist fanatic], Goldwater [“Daisy ad” and more], Ford [Chevy Chase!], Reagan [old, oily hair, compassion-free zone], Bush-41 [aloof, removed, elitist], Dole [ad dubbed him a ‘coward’ for resigning from the Senate to run for prez], Newt [list too long even to summarize], and of course their drubbing of Dubya for seven-plus years.

So, what might we have expected? Fairness? Balance? Even decency? At least for a simple plumber asking a simple, if challenging, question to OTO?

No, the RRT is moving rapidly to note every error of McPalin, and smooth over or just plain cover-up any mistake or doubt of B&B [Barack & Biden]. And destroy a plumber, a butcher, baker, cobbler or candlestick maker – any who offer the tiniest tremor of destabilizing OTO’s machinery – with the eager, willing, active assistance of the MSM’s RRT.

At least they’re consistent. They covered up the law school flunking of their long-beloved 1952/56 nominee, Adlai Stevenson – supposedly oh-so-smart, and professorial to a fault. But his law dean sequestered the transcript, as he arranged for Adlai to re-enter law school, locking the papers in his personal safe on retiring from Harvard, the truth only revealed recently when that mendacious law-dean’s effects were probated. Maybe a case-study for a Harvard degree program on ethics, in their Kennedy Center for political studies.

And, dear reader, you may be hearing of Adlai’s flunking lawschool for the first time – didn’t you see it in the massive revelation in the NY Times and Washington Post? I’m shocked, shocked that there’s deception going on by the left….. for the only constant in the MSM universe is the mentality to do anything and everything to foil conservatives, and empower liberalism.

So, to use an old saw of recent vintage: DÉJÀ VU ALL OVER AGAIN. ExileStreet
